A limited number of rooms have been set aside at Hotel Durant, which is the closest hotel to LBNL.  The special conference rates are $144 for a double room with two double beds and $120 for a single room with one queen bed.  Please contact the hotel directly for more information and reservations, through one of the following ways:

Please note that the deadline for reservations at the reduced rates is July 21, 2003.

ALS apartments are also available for the meeting.  The rates are $70 for a single room and $40 per person for a shared double room.  Please visit the ALS apartments web site for reservations.  A two-nights minimum is required for all reservations.

For those of you who may want to walk to LBNL from Hotel Durant, here is a map of the Berkeley area with Hotel Durant location, and a possible walk path to LBNL.  It may take a good 30 minutes, so taking a shuttle bus is recommended.  Remember, you have to stop at the gate to get your pass before entering LBNL.
