There will be a special Berkeley Lab shuttle bus to take workshop attendees from local hotels to the LBNL Bldg.50 Auditorium (map).  The special bus will be leaving Shattuck Hotel at 7:10AM and Hotel Durant at 7:25AM, Friday and Saturday, August 22-23.  The bus will take the attendees back to the hotels at the end of each day.

If you are staying at other hotels and would like to use the special shuttle, you have to walk to one of the two hotels listed above to catch the bus.

On the Friday, regular Berkeley Lab shuttle buses will be running at normal schedules.  One could take these regular buses on the Friday.  Here is a link to the regular shuttle route and schedule.

All attendees must have a bus pass in order to get on a Berkeley Lab bus, including the special one, and go through the LBNL gate.  Contact Virginia Bizzell (vfb2@cornell.edu) if you have not received a bus pass.

For those of you who will be driving to the meeting site, please stop at the LBNL gate to get a parking permit.  Here is a link to visitor parking at LBNL.  Caution: visitor parking spaces are limited.

For those of you who may want to walk to LBNL from Hotel Durant, here is a map of the Berkeley area with Hotel Durant location, and a possible walk path to LBNL.  It may take a good 30 minutes, so taking a shuttle bus is recommended.  Remember, you have to stop at the gate to get your pass before entering LBNL.
