The processing_gui user interface was
originally designed by Chris Nielsen and
Andy Arvai at ADSC, and has been extensively modified by Marian Szebenyi
at Cornell. It maintains the
graphical display and a file of current parameters; when requested, it
sequences and executes
routines to do the actual data processing by way of shell scripts.
The scripts collect the necessary information from the parameter file
and issue commands to run the appropriate programs.
